KUALA LUMPUR: Malaysia is working closely with Saudi Arabia and other Middle Eastern countries to thwart the latest threat by the Islamic State group to attack Islam’s holiest sites, the Kaaba and Prophet’s Mosque, said Defence Minister Datuk Seri Hishammuddin Hussein.

He added that he discussed the matter in detail during a telephone conversation on Saturday with the Crown Prince of Saudi Arabia, Prince Muhammad Salman, who is also the Defence Minister.
