A record bitter aftertaste

Bad broth: ‘The Biggest Bowl of Laksa Sarawak’ had to be thrown away to prevent food poisoning.

THE excessiveness of some Malaysia Book of Record feats remains unacceptable to some. Last year, the MBOR got a lot of flak for certifying the “biggest bowl of laksa”.

The feat, which took place at the Plaza Merdeka mall in Kuching last October, was the equivalent of 1,500 bowls of laksa. They ended up being thrown away after the record was achieved.
