KUALA LUMPUR: US companies in Malaysia have agreed to help rescued victims of human trafficking by hiring them, and it is time for local companies to step up to the plate.

Malaysia’s ranking in the US Trafficking in Persons (TIP) Watch List has improved, Deputy Prime Minister Datuk Seri Dr Ahmad Zahid Hamidi (pic) told Parliament on Thursday.
