GEORGE TOWN: Penang Yang di-Pertua Negri Tun Abdul Rahman Abbas hoped the recipients of state awards would be motivated and inspired to continue contributing to the state and the nation.
“The awards were given to them for showing commitment and character and being a good example to others,” he said in his speech during the first day of the investiture ceremony to mark his 79th birthday at Dewan Sri Pinang here yesterday.
