PETALING JAYA: PAS secretary-general Datuk Takiyuddin Hassan has called for more information to be given regarding the recent appointments of Tan Sri Md Raus Sharif and Tan Sri Zulkefli Ahmad Makinudin as additional judges in the Federal Court.
While acknowledging that the Yang di-Pertuan Agong and the Council of Rulers must have received appropriate legal advice, especially in interpreting Clause (1A) of Article 122 of the Federal Constitution, prior to the appointments, PAS however said that it would be appropriate for the parties concerned to provide detailed information on the appointments so as not to create confusion as well as to avoid the possibility of a prolonged legal conflict.
