SHAH ALAM: Comm Datuk Mazlan Mansor (pix) has replaced retiring Comm Datuk Seri Abdul Samah Mat as Selangor police chief.
Comm Mazlan was the former Sarawak police commissioner.
He is no stranger to Selangor, having previously served as Petaling Jaya OCPD and state Criminal Investigation Department chief.
Comm Abdul Samah said at his retirement ceremony Friday that he has "no regrets" during his tenure.
He was seen tearing up as he addressed his men for the final time.
His successor, however, has promised to pick up where he left off.
"Definitely I will continue his efforts in ensuring the people of Selangor are safe," said Comm Mazlan.
On his plans for combating crime in the state, Comm Mazlan simply replied: "Just wait and see."
