PETALING JAYA: The civil lawsuit filed by the United States Department of Justice (DoJ) to seize US$540mil (RM2.32bil) worth of assets allegedly linked to 1Malaysia Development Bhd (1MDB) is politically motivated, says the Attorney-General.
Tan Sri Mohamed Apandi Ali said this was because the DoJ never made any official request to the A-G’s Chambers for any clarification or information on its claims.
