JELEBU: A lorry driver charged with reckless driving and causing the deaths of eight people, including six members of a family, appealed for lower bail so that he could celebrate Hari Raya with his loved ones.
Norzailan Omar, 44, told magistrate Mohamad Redza Azhar Rezali yesterday that he could not afford to pay the RM15,000 bail requested by the prosecution as he had household expenses to bear.
