PUTRAJAYA: Traders caught exploiting price-controlled consumer items during the Ramadan month and Hari Raya will be slapped with heavy fines from RM10,000 to RM500,000, says Domestic Trade, Co-operatives and Consumerism Minister Datuk Hamzah Zainuddin.
He said that 21 items have been listed under the “Festive Season Price Control Scheme for Aidilfitri celebration” and would be affective from Friday until June 30. This scheme will be implemented under the Price Control and Anti-Profiteering Act 2011.
