KUALA LUMPUR: The skipper of a navy patrol vessel has been removed from command duty for not following standard operating procedure when one of its boats went missing, Royal Malaysia Navy chief Admiral Tan Sri Ahmad Kamarulzaman Ahmad Badaruddin (pic) said.
He said the action was taken at the end of the investigations into the May 20 incident, in which nine sailors were adrift at sea for over two days after losing radio communication with parent vessel KD Perdana and running out of fuel.
