IPOH: Five Thai nationals, believed to be victims of human trafficking, have been freed from the clutches of a begging syndicate.
Perak crime chief Senior Asst Comm Datuk Gan Tian Kee said the five victims, all men aged 18 to 28, had been soliciting funds for the supposed construction of a mosque in Narathiwat, Thailand, for the past 11 months.
