JOHOR BARU: The Air Accident Investigation Bureau (AAIB) of the Transport Ministry will investigate the cause of the crash of a light aircraft in Taman Pulai Jaya here.

Department of Civil Aviation director-general Datuk Azharuddin Abdul Rahman said the Piper PA28 crash-landed on the site of an overpass being built on the Nusajaya highway at around 10.15am on Sunday.

“The aircraft was operated by Elite Flying Club and (the pilot) was reported to be on a training flight,’’ he said in a statement.
