KUALA LUMPUR: Gerakan has called on the Higher Education Ministry to look into Universiti Malaya’s RM90,000 fee for its engineering faculty’s “direct intake” programme.

Gerakan vice-president Datuk Dr Dominic Lau Hoe Chai said the fees are too high and give people the impression that only those who are wealthy can enrol for the programmes, which include civil, electrical, chemical, biochemical and mechanical engineering.
