MELAKA: Police have yet to confirm the identities of two Malaysians who were among 13 Islamic State-linked militants killed in battles between the Philippine military and gunmen who have taken over Marawi city in Central Mindanao.
Intelligence sources identified the Malaysians as Ustaz Abdurahman Asmawi from Kelantan and Dr Kamsa Yahya from Kedah but Inspector-General of Police Tan Sri Khalid Abu Bakar said his men were in the midst of authenticating the identities of the two.
