Cops welcome probe, 15 transferred

MELAKA: Police have welcomed any move by the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) to widen its investigations into purported protection racket of vice-dens if the ongoing probe on Melaka cops and middlemen suggests that similar syndicates exist in other states.

Inspector-General of Police Tan Sri Khalid Abu Bakar, who said he had no qualms about the widening MACC dragnet, also made good on his word to transfer out all those now under investigation.
