King Salman shakes hands with Melania during a reception ceremony in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia on May 20.

PETALING JAYA: Khairy Jamaluddin has taken an apparent swipe at those critical of handshaking between men and women after a picture of the Saudi King greeting Melania Trump went viral.

"Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques greets Mrs Trump. And we've stopped inter-gender shaking of hands," the Youth and Sports Minister wrote on Twitter, in a sarcastic reference the "practice" of some people in Malaysia who do not shake hands with the opposite sex.
