Ex-Sabah DAP leader ordered to pay RM130,000 in defamation suit

KOTA KINABALU: A former Sabah DAP leader has been ordered by a High Court to pay RM130,000 in damages and costs to DAP's Kota Kinabalu MP Jimmy Wong for defamation.

High Court Justice Ravinthran N.Paramaguru on Thursday ordered Fred Fung Kong Win, the former state DAP deputy chairman, to pay Wong RM100, 000 in damages and RM30,000 as costs over defamatory media statements pertaining to party funds.
