KUALA LUMPUR: It is time for the city’s iconic Petaling Street to transform itself and shed its reputation as a go-to place for imitation goods, said Deputy Education Minister Datuk Chong Sin Woon.
“We need young people to rejuvenate this historical marketplace with fresh ideas,” he told reporters after attending the swearing-in ceremony of the 38th committee of the Kuala Lumpur Hawkers and Petty Traders Association in Petaling Street here.
