A pot used to process the ketum leaves was found at the back of the house.
IPOH: Police have arrested a 45-year-old man for storing and processing ketum leaves at a house in Sungai Siput near here.
Sungai Siput OCPD Superintendent Abd Fatah Abd Rahman said its narcotics team raid a house in Kg Suak Plang at around 1.15pm on Friday.
"A store behind the house had 160 packets of ketum leaves, one pot filled with boiled water and ketum leaves, two gas cylinders, one kitchen set, one plastic filter, two black boxes containing six kilograms of ketum leaves and two transparent plastic containers used to store the processed ketum juice," he said in a statement on Friday.
The case is being probed under Section 30(3) of the Poisons Act 1952 for possession of ketum juice.
Those found guilty face up to four years' jail, a fine of up to RM10,000, or both.
