Duo held for offending Johor royal family


PETALING JAYA: Two people have been detained by Johor police for creating a fake account and posting an offensive statement against the Sultan of Johor and the Johor Royal Institution.

One of them, a 26-year-old operations executive, is alleged to have posted the offensive statement on his Facebook account, while another, a 40-year-old woman factory operator, allegedly created a fake Facebook account “impersonating” the Johor royal family. Both were arrested at about 4pm yesterday.
