KUALA LUMPUR: Tan Sri Ambrin Buang, who retired recently after serving for 11 years as the Auditor-General, has expressed his hope for greater autonomy to be accorded to the National Audit Department.
He said the powers of the Department should be enhanced in terms of greater freedom from external controls, and greater autonomy in terms of management of human resources and budget.
