Some like it, other drivers’ groups say demerit system ‘harsh’


PETALING JAYA: The Road Transport Department’s Kejara demerit points system has received mixed response, with commercial driving associations concerned that revoking licences would rob its members of their livelihood.

Federation of Penang Taxi Association president Abdul Malek Darus said punishing drivers by taking away their licence was harsh.
