GEORGE TOWN: A High Court here has upheld the decision by the Sessions Court to acquit former PAS deputy president Mohamad Sabu, popularly known as Mat Sabu, of two criminal defamation charges over remarks about the 1950 Bukit Kepong incident.

In dismissing the prosecution's appeal on Friday, Justice Lim Chong Fong ruled that the Sessions Courts had rightly acquitted Mohamad, now Parti Amanah Negara president, on July 8, 2015, as  the prosecution had failed to prove a prima facie case against him.
