PETALING JAYA: The investigation into the murder of a man who was shot dead at an upscale house in Bandar Tun Hussein Onn, Cheras, last week has led police to a lake in Putrajaya.

The case, which had so far seen 13 people arrested, had elements of underworld links, police said.

Selangor CID chief Senior Asst Comm Fadzil Ahmat said their investigation led them to the lake where two pistols were found.

“The pistols had live bullets in them,” he said yesterday.

The murder victim, a 39-year-old, was found dead on the third floor of the house in Jalan Suakasih 2/2 on March 10.

The man from Jalan Ipoh, and whose name is being withheld by police, apparently came to the house just after midnight to meet a friend, a businessman.

The 54-year-old businessman claimed that he rushed upstairs when he heard a gunshot at about 3am. Police, however, found elements of foul play and arrested most of the people in the house.

A check at the scene showed a Mercedes-Benz parked in front of the house with VIP and VVIP stickers on the windshield.
