KOTA KINABALU: More than dozen houses and huts in an illegal settlement in a forest reserve were demolished as a last resort after the occupants refused to abide to conditions of their stay in the area.
Sabah Forest Department chief conservator Datuk Sam Mannan said the operation last week by enforcement personnel involved only vacant or empty structures.
