KOTA KINABALU: A father and his son are believed to have been attacked by a crocodile in Kinabatangan river.
Their bodies were discovered on Monday afternoon by a family member who had gone to search for the duo.
It is learnt that the 50-year-old man and his 13-year-old son had gone to the river to fish on Saturday and failed to return home.
Sabah Wildlife Department director Augustine Tuuga confirmed that a report had been received on the discovery but verification on the identities and cause of death were needed from the hospital.
"We will give a more detailed account of what happened when we have them," he said.
Kinabatangan police chief Supt A. Sahak Rahmat declined to comment on the matter pending investigations.
