ALOR SETAR: The weight limit for small lorries has been increased to 7,000kg from 5,000kg with immediate effect, a move aimed at reducing the cost of transportation.
Transport Minister Datuk Seri Liow Tiong Lai said the Government made the decision after conducting a series of meetings and discussions with the Works Ministry, the Road Safety Council and the Land Public Transport Commission (SPAD).
