A VILLAGE in Tamil Nadu has barred the local member of the legislative assembly (MLA) from entering the area as a way to show displeasure over V.K. Sasikala’s attempt at becoming chief minister.
Tamil dailies reported that Sasikala’s supporters had engaged in some “spectacular manoeuvring” to make her chief minister, including allegedly imprisoning MLAs and offering large amounts of money for their support.
