Kamalanathan: UM to form panel to investigate viral claim

PETALING JAYA: Universiti Malaya (UM) will form a five-member panel to investigate an allegation that a lecturer made racist remarks to a student earlier this week, said Deputy Education Minister Datuk P. Kamalanathan.

Kamalanathan added in a Facebook post on Thursday that he took the allegation made by a student seriously, and said that he had contacted UM vice-chancellor Tan Sri Prof Dr Mohd Amin Jalaludin as soon as he learned about the claim.
