Apandi: Let’s learn French, too

Well done: Mohamed Apandi sharing a light moment with those who received the certificate of appreciation for integrity in Putrajaya. They are (from second left) DPPs’ Puteri Sarah Amirnuddin, Nitta Sivasamy, Mahmoodah VM Abdul Latiff, Nurhafiza Haron, Nurfahana Hashim and Aidatul Azura Zainal Abidin. — MOHD SAHAR MISNI/The Star

PUTRAJAYA: Malaysian prosecutors including Attorney-General Tan Sri Mohamed Apandi Ali will soon be able to not only rattle off sentences or words like parlez-vous français? (do you speak french?), bonjour (hello) or café, latte s’il vous plaît (latte, please), but perhaps also litigate in French.

Mohamed Apandi wants his staff to learn the language because French, apart from English, was used in the International Court of Justice (ICJ).
