Zahid: Rela personnel can keep an eye on Sabah and Sarawak borders

LUNDU: A series of discussions has been held with the National Security Council to hasten the absorption of the People’s Volunteer Corps (Rela) personnel to help moni­tor the borders of Sabah and Sarawak.

Deputy Prime Minister Datuk Seri Dr Ahmad Zahid Hamidi said the proposed Rela border unit will focus on cross-border smuggling activities and movements of criminals.
