LUNDU: A series of discussions has been held with the National Security Council to hasten the absorption of the People’s Volunteer Corps (Rela) personnel to help monitor the borders of Sabah and Sarawak.
Deputy Prime Minister Datuk Seri Dr Ahmad Zahid Hamidi said the proposed Rela border unit will focus on cross-border smuggling activities and movements of criminals.
