20% drop in accidents targeted

KOTA KINABALU: The Govern­ment will strive towards reducing traffic accidents by some 20% every year, says Datuk Seri Dr Ahmad Zahid Hamidi.

In expressing his concern, the Deputy Prime Minister said such mishaps spelt economic costs to a tune of RM9.2bil in terms of medical treatment for victims and lost of productivity.
