PETALING JAYA: BBC2 has aired an intriguing documentary that sheds light on the bizarre Maoist cult whose leader has been convicted of raping and beating his brainwashed female followers, one of them a Malaysian.
The documentary tells the story of the group set up by Aravindan Balakrishnan (pic), now 76, in the 1970s.
