PETALING JAYA: One Kuala Lumpur-bound Malaysia Airlines flight departing from London's Heathrow Airport was delayed Monday due to fog.
Malaysia Airlines flight MH3 (codeshare with American Airlines flight AA7440) was scheduled to depart Heathrow Airport at 10am but was delayed for over an hour, and has since departed at 11.34am London time.
The estimated arrival for MH3 to Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA) is 8.25am Malaysian time on Tuesday.
Other Kuala-Lumpur bound flights listed to depart from Heathrow Airport are scheduled to depart on time.
Heathrow Airport said it had cancelled approximately 100 out of about 1,300 scheduled flights on Monday as foggy weather reduced visibility at Europe's busiest hub.
"Some passengers may experience disruption to their journeys today," Heathrow Airport said in a statement.
"Passengers should check their flight status with their airline before coming to the airport," it added.
Checks by The Star showed that no London-bound flight departing from KLIA was affected by the morning fog.
Malaysia Airlines flight MH2 (codeshare with American Airlines flight AA7439) landed on time at Heathrow at 5.35am London time.
