Tips on how to think outside the box

Eager to learn: Pupils of Year Six Maju of SK Puteri Pandan 1 poring over the first issue of ‘Step Up’ for this year as Noor Selina supervises them.

KUALA LUMPUR: It wasn’t a counselling session or psychology lesson but pupils of Year Six Maju of SK Puteri Pandan 1 here have to delve deep into their emotions during their English class as they scrutinised a photograph of an emotional child.

The lesson, aided by the English-language pullout Step Up published by The Star, opened up engaging conversations on what pupils would do when they felt sad. Some said they would talk to friends while others said they would watch cartoons or eat chocolates.
