GEORGE TOWN: A 40-year-old businessman who was spotted sitting on the ledge at Km8 of the Penang Bridge was successfully convinced by firemen to step away to safety.
Motorists heading to the island had spotted the man and called the police and Fire and Rescue Department on Friday night as they feared that he was trying to commit suicide.
