PETALING JAYA: The Selangor state government should be held responsible for the Klang Municipal Council (MPK) illegal fireworks display mishap, according to Gerakan.
"It is absolutely unacceptable that the MPK, whose duty is to issue and enforce various licenses and permits, did not themselves apply for a permit nor use a licensed fireworks operator and putting up to 15,000 members of the public at risk," said Selangor Gerakan liaison committee chairman Datuk David Ang Chin Tat in a statement on Monday.
