Indonesian maid now under care of embassy


A 43-year-old woman, who is the maid’s employer, had been remanded until Wednesday after she allegedly abused her 19-year-old maid Suyanti. On Wednesday afternoon, a security guard found an unconscious Suyanti by a drain in Mutiara Damansara and her plight went viral on social media.Her employer surrendered to the police at about 10.30pm the same day.

PETALING JAYA: The 19-year-old Indonesian maid (pic), allegedly abused by her employer, is now staying at the Indonesian Embassy.

Petaling Jaya deputy OCPD Supt Mohd Ali Thamby said the maid, identified as Suyanti would be under the embassy’s care after she was discharged from University Malaya Medical Centre (UMMC).
