KUALA LUMPUR: Foreign companies are attracted to invest in Malaysia because of its strong base of small and medium enterprises (SMEs) which are technically competent, says International Trade and Industry Minister Datuk Seri Mustapa Mohamed.
Before investing overseas, Mustapa said multinationals (MNCs) looked to see if there were enough SMEs to supply them with components which met global standards.
