KUALA LUMPUR: Diamond magnate Tan Sri Ng Teck Fong, the Tomei Group founder, has won Malaysia’s highest book award for his work on an encyclopaedia on the Malaysian Chinese.

A Journey Through History: The Chinese and Nation-Building in Malaysia is a 500-page book that explores the politics, culture, economy and education of the Malaysian ethnic Chinese stretching back 600 years until modern day.
