IRB proposes listing of tax defaulters under credit reference database

Sabin says the IRB is now increasing its tax auditing and investigation activities on foreigners who carry out businesses but fail to report their income.

KUALA LUMPUR: The Inland Revenue Board (IRB) has suggested that tax defaulters and those who intentionally delay tax payments to be listed under the Central Credit Reference Information System (CCRIS). 

IRB CEO Datuk Sabin Samitah (pix) said the matter was being discussed with Bank Negara.
