KUALA LUMPUR: A Barisan Nasional component party has downplayed Umno's Sunday rally for the Rohingyas with PAS, saying that both presidents sharing a stage did not mean the parties were working together.

MIC president Datuk Seri Dr S Subramaniam said he did not view Sunday's Rohingya solidarity rally as a sign of warming ties between Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak and PAS' Datuk Seri Abdul Hadi Awang.
