KUALA LUMPUR: Prime Minister and party president Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak will open the 2016 Umno general assembly, which begins Thursday at Dewan Merdeka, Putra World Trade Centre (PWTC), here.

According to tradition, the assembly starts with a parade and the hoisting of the Jalur Gemilang and the Umno flag, Sang Saka Bangsa.
