KUALA LUMPUR: Gerakan is relieved that the Prime Minister has given assurances that non-Muslims will not be affected by proposed amendments to increase the powers of syariah courts.
Its secretary-general Datuk Liang Teck Meng (pic) said Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak clearly explained the issue in his address at the opening of the Umno general assembly.
