Tourists narrowly escape bus fire


Up in flames: The tour bus caught fire after one of its tyres burst along the North-South Expressway in Johor.

BATU PAHAT: A group of 30 Chinese tourists escaped unhurt after the tour bus they were travelling on caught fire along the North-South Expressway.

Batu Pahat OCPD Asst Comm Abdul Wahib Musa said the bus was heading from Singapore to Kuala Lumpur when one of its tyres burst at the 92nd kilometre between Ayer Hitam and Yong Peng at about 5pm yesterday.
