Hisham: Country must be safe and peaceful

KUALA LUMPUR: There is no point winning the general election if the country is not safe and peaceful, said Umno vice-president Datuk Seri Hishammuddin Hussein.  

Referring to news reports where security forces had killed 11 members of a southern Philippine-based rebel group with IS links, Hisham pointed out that it was proof the terror group had a presence in the South-East Asia region.
