Gerakan concerned over Barisan plans to cut seats

KUALA LUMPUR: Gerakan has voiced its reservations over Barisan Nasional’s plans to reduce seat allocations for some of the coalition’s component parties in the next general election, says the party’s vice-president Datuk Dr Dominic Lau.

Deputy Prime Minister Datuk Seri Dr Ahmad Zahid Hamidi was earlier reported to have said that Barisan’s strategy for the next elections was to field candidates based on their popularity among voters and not based on the existing seat allocations.
