Thousands in the dark as several areas in Sarawak hit by blackout


KUCHING: The entire southern region of Sarawak was hit by a power outage at 6.40pm Saturday due to a trip at Sarawak Energy's Oya-Selangau 275kV transmission lines in Sibu.

According to Sarawak Energy Berhad (SEB), the trip caused a disruption to electricity supply from Sibu all the way to Kuching.
