Grandma killed on the spot, three critically hurt as car crashes into ditch


A team of 16 fire fighters arrived at the scene 10 minutes after receiving a distress call at 12.55pm on Saturday.

SABAK BERNAM: A septuagenarian was killed while three other family members were critically injured after the Proton Saga they were travelling in plunged into a two-metre deep ditch at KM58 of Jalan Teluk Intan-Klang, near Sungai Besar.

OCPD Supt Nor Azmi Isa said the family had been heading to Kampung Bagan Nira from Sekinchan when the car skidded and ploughed into a road barrier before plunging into the drain.
